It works well

I used MidiIllustrator for the first time last night and it was better than I expected. It was easy to find the path through the options and preferences to enable me to print one track from a Midi file. Keep up the good work and thanks.

after a glance

As previously noted, the program is essentially complicated. I'm certain that such complexity allows the program to do wonderful things, but I'm not writing at that level yet, which means I did get lost when attempting to do some very simple things. I will continue playing with it, though, and am certain it will all work out when I get used to it.

My Review

I find the most troublesome feature is the inability to change tone bank used without opening the Midi Options dialogue tile. It is a valuable application yet as a weekend composer it does not give me any value added ability. I am happy to have downloaded the demo, I believe this is a very good program for the novice user.

How to configure the view

I find it too difficult to set up the instruments (tracks) that I want to see on the score. In fact, I can't figure out how to do that.
